A founder's story by Liz McVoy

Long ago, before a film degree, industry experience, and the launch of LMC Agency, my passion for storytelling took hold. As an expressive 8-year-old, I bundled up in winter gear to film my own Swiss Miss commercial. In that frozen moment, I realized I held the power to create magic!

With a triumphant cry of “ACTION!” I dashed in front of the camera, capturing the essence of what would surely be the next hit Super Bowl commercial…

Oh, the dreams I had! However, fate had a mischievous plan in store for me. You see, the role of producer fell into the hands of my younger sister, whose creative vision took a slightly different turn.

But that’s the beauty of working with others — everyone sees through their own unique lens.

I believe a good leader knows how to curate and cultivate those ideas into reality.

Over time, my passion expanded beyond film, encompassing digital marketing, UI/UX, web design, social media campaigns, video narratives, and team leadership.

From West Coast production houses to working at Virginia Tech, I used my influence and skills to foster a collaborative culture that enabled us to create engaging, brand-building campaigns that reached beyond a screen to drive results.

Each endeavor became a stepping stone to my biggest venture yet: starting a creative agency at 37 weeks pregnant… during a pandemic. Talk about bringing an idea to life in a big, disruptive way!

The last five years have been so rewarding, as I’ve had the privilege of partnering with leading tech companies, designers, female founders, and innovators all around the globe.

Igniting Impact

We partnered with LMC to produce videos for our monthly newsletter and social media channels. The videos look awesome! We have received very encouraging feedback from our leadership team and our sales team was eager to use them to further conversations with potential clients!

Liz has a fantastic eye for media and design. She took a mere concept and transformed it into an AMAZING website that was packed with powerful messaging, imagery, and on-brand elements. When she isn’t baking elaborate birthday cakes for her kids, gardening, or hosting game night, Liz in her element—supporting startups, entrepreneurs, and tech leaders as they expand their brands and bring fresh ideas to the market.

Stemming from a passion to support other women, Liz is also the founder of FlourishGR, a league of entrepreneurial women in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
