Day 1s are always a mix of exhilaration and crap-your-pants feelings. Can I get an amen?!
My official day 1 was spent with a glass of Malbec in hand in a cool hotel in Portland. I’d been flown out to produce some video content for a multi-billion tech company and even though I had the film degree, internships, and years of corporate experience on my resume, I felt terrified!
What if the shoot didn’t go as planned? Would they expect someone more polished, techie, or someone above 5’2″?? (short person complex… I feel like tall people are taken more seriously.)
My business was a baby and my confidence shouldn’t have been tied to vanity metrics, but I had <50 Instagram followers, no email list, and basically broke out in hives when I sent a proposal for anything over $1,200.
Over time I’ve learned to embrace the fact that I’m not a tall, techie, super polished creative. (Pssst. I can help you overcome imposter syndrome, too, in my group marketing program – check it out.)
I’m a heart and soul storyteller mom, living in leggings and messy buns, who uses video and marketing to tell stories that MOVE people and make them FEEL something.
That’s my superpower translating an idea to an experience through video, branding, and marketing.
And if you’ve been ready since yesterday to increase your brand visibility, show authority through video, streamline your content, gain clarity in who your ideal client is, and boost your confidence in your product suite to generate consistent income, then there’s no better time than now to get on the Attraction Marketing Accelerator waitlist that starts this fall!
